Manager of the Season - MULTIBOARD PLEASE

Who should get it

Let's have a look at the contenders and vote please at the end:

Newcastle United - Alan Pardew

It would be fair to say that Alan Pardew was not a popular choice when was appointed back in 2010 but he's actually done quite well and has far exceeded pundit and fan's expectations. Everyone thought "Newcastle.....they are alright but won't do much . Then they were thinking "Newcastle! They are looking good, but they'll falter towards the end " But now they are thinking "Newcastle! They better start to lose matches because they are getting close to finishing in the top 4! It's like there's this member's lounge at this elite golf course. Newcastle, the drunk loud brash new member, has infiltrated the lounge and he's starting to annoy people with his loud manner. Arsene is all " Please remove this man, I cannot enjoy my cognac in peace."

Brendan Rodgers - Swansea

I think last Summer we all thought the most realistic hope Swansea had for a good season would be to finish 20th. But look at them now! They are doing alright! Great style of play too with all the quick passing and attacking all quick and fun. No one likes to play against Swansea, they are a decent side. And it's all thanks to Buck Rodgers

Paul Lambert - Norwich City

Norwich have also done well. It's not just Swansea who have come up and decided "NO! WE WILL NOT LAY DOWN AND DIE! WE WILL FIGHT! " They were higher up in the league earlier on in the season but have got kinda tired which is sad. Norwich. An interesting stat, Norwich have never lost a game where they have scored atleast 4 goals this season

Harry Redknapp - Spurs

Spurs were flying high earlier on in the season There was talk of perhaps winning the league, like Harry saying "Why not!? Why can't we win!?" But recently they have been no good and if he was asked now he would say "Why can't we win? Because we keep losing! That's why! I don't have time for this anymore! I am looking over my shortlist for possible players this Summer for England, if I was to have Parker as captain, would that be frowned upon? ". They have been losing here and there, never winning. All since Harry got off his charge and Capello resigned. The whole speculation of 'Will Redknapp be the next manager' has clearly had an effect and has kinda ruined their season. My only wish is that Capello had resigned back in October, can you imagine where Spurs would be now?

Arsene Wenger - Arsenal

"Wenger Out!" was the cry of some crazy fools here on Ja earlier on in the Autumn. Then around Christmas they were not so much crying it out, but more quietly saying it to themselves. Now they are silent and silent they will remain! Arsene has rocketted Arsenal back up the table! With 26 straight wins on the trot! He's done this also without Fabregas, Wilshere, Nasri and Diaby. So to Arsene. Not enough is given to Arsene.

Right! TIME TO VOTE:

Rate 1: Alan Pardew
Rate 2: Brendan Rodgers
Rate 3: Paul Lambert
Rate 4: Harry Redknapp
Rate 5: Arsene Wenger

"You mean Wenger who is up against teams that have sugar daddy's that spend £££ on players from their own pocket and give them extortionate wages while he has to use the means of the club to get by....Only Man U can compete with any sugar daddy team due to the vast money that Man U can bring in.....oh wait your a Chelsea fan....so tell me where would Chelsea be if they had no big bucks flying in from RM??"

Top 4 like we were the day he arrived by any chance?
--------------------------------------------------------------------------

it was 5th actually and name me any of the teams in the top 10 in 1995-6 season (Besides Man U) that are still in the top 4 now ??

You mean Wenger who is up against teams that have sugar daddy's that spend £££ on players from their own pocket and give them extortionate wages

And when you compare his spending power to that of the other clubs mentioned just what hypocritically , sorry, hypothetically, has he done thats better?
========================================

He has not used a billionaire to finance his team. He has used the financial profit of Arsenal. Chelsea, Liverpool and Man C have all benefited from Billionaires. Only Man U have used profit as well....

So keeping us in a top 4 position since 1996 is an amazing feat......

I have no problems with clubs spending what they earn and if teams like Man U can out bid us then thats fine as long as they have the means (without using a billionaire)

I don't rememember anyone at Arsenal saying "We refuse your money on a point of principal" when City bid for one of their players, they usually snatch our hand off.

With comments like that, I'd say they would disagree with that statement Boris.

Back to Russia

The fact of the matter is that Arsenal and Spurs spend at least 4 times the amount of the other club managers mentioned. they therefore are punching above their weight esp Newcastle. Arsenal are not, esp at the start of this season ...not manager of 14 seasons but manager this season. All of which is irelevant to the Article because m'lady is wumming us all to get people to vote for wenger by putting him as a 1* (the true point of the article)

To a previous poster talking about my rant and wenger admitting his players dive please remember this incident..... I certainly did

maybe he was angry because out of all the players who dive week in week out, Eduardo was the only player he charged. Read the interview where Wenger said we need to be harder on diving, and he admits his players have done it in the past

8bit I have, this is in reply to a previous poster who seems to think that I was making things up about Wenger denying his players dive. I know recently he has said his players have dived in the past, however in the past he's also denied his players dive.

he probably has, we all know Wenger tells some white lies now and again to protect his players. it's annoying sometimes but it's because he wants to avoid talking about some issues in public.
