Finn or Bresnan

Simple question peeps,

Who would you have in your England Test XI, Bresnan or Finn?

Cheers

Finn is a miles better bowler however Bresnan can bowl very decently & make good contributions with the bat.

I personally feel Finn shud be selected - lets face it England have enough batsman in their team right all the way down to the tail!

Bresnan has a perfect winning record with England!

My (personal) decision is that Finn shud be picked then maybe West Indies might have a chance of doing the impossible (that is win a test match vs England IN England for the 1st time in over a DECADE)!

(There is absolutely no way England wud have chased 191 if Bresnan was NOT in that team)

Are we still asking this silly question?

Bresnan's done enough to keep his place in the team for the rest of the series. His spell this afternoon was terrific.

With an outstanding strike rate of 43 from his 13 tests to date, Finn will also remain under consideration from selectors, and if on form for his county, is likely to get an opportunity the next time there is an injury to one of england's current seam bowlers or if one of them loses form or needs a rest.

As it happened Tim Bresnans unbeaten 39 and some usefull runs by Broad whilst batting together proved crucial in even giving England the lead.
That is exactly why Bresnan plays and Finn remains wicketless for his county today, Bresnan is a superb allround cricketer.

These southeners would have the England team full of players from the home counties if they chose the team. If Bresnan played for Middlesex they would sing his praises.

I would still pick Steve Finn...

Finn will get his chance again, maybe sooner rather than later. I thought our three seamers were somewhat jaded in this game, probably still feeling the affects of the long stints they had at Lords. They do get a long rest now until the next test, so that is good.

Looks like Bresnan incredible winning record is going to continue despite a scare in this match. 13 out of 13!

Windies before have never lost a 1st class/Test Match at Trent Beridge until now (Unless they make a miraculous fightback)

They were on the verge of that miraculous fightback mate, and then got pounded into the ground. 2:0 and I hope we ring the changes for the last one.
The Windies are playing some good enough cricket so lets give this fella taylor a try? and Finn, and Onions?

Man of The Match goes to...... (drum roll)........ Big Tim Bresnan. Well what would you know
13 matches, 13 wins, wickets, runs, catches, moral around the squad, all round good egg. Yepp, he is going to be around for a while yet.
