ATP 250 Grass Season: Halle & Queens

Due to the compressed Olympic year schedule, grass season seems to have started sooner than usual.

While the final was being played on Roland Garros clay, almost everyone but Djokovic and Nadal were already adapting their footwork on the fastest surface.

Halle in Germany, once the bastion of Roger Federer, kind of Nadal's clay Barcelona tournament, is now featuring Nadal for the first time ever.

The official reason is the oh so horribly high tax he has to pay in the UK.

The field is sumptuous: apart from Nadal and Federer, Berdych, Dolgopolov, Raonic, Kohlschreiber, Tomic and Haas are also playing.

Final should be fun should the top seeds get through.

Queens, London now called Aegon Championships also features quality field that still seem to be able to afford the high tax bracket:

Murray, Tsonga, Simon, Roddick, Tipsarevic, Cilic, F. Lopez, Benneteau, Nalbandian, Gulbis

Nole will be playing at Boodles, where I hope to see him next Saturday

So for all of you who have had enough of clay slogging, the lovely, green, green grass of tennis home beckons

I think Nalby was very unluky to have hurt that man. It clearly wasn't his intention.

Now that he has to be disqualified or not is a bit irrelevant to me. I have no strong opinon about it.

It's just a shame we could not have a normal conclusion to the match.

Nalby hurts a linejudge, fed's losing to a 34 year old Haas on grass and Holland loses embarrassingly a third consecutive match at the EC.
What a day...What's next? Nadal winning Wimbledon?
(euh...yeah, probably)

Well at least Nadal lost to Kholi two days ago <whitsle>

yeah, that one was nice, but it would like to see that happening at at slam..

tell me about it...it's hard but doable as it happened in the past!
He is just so hard to dislodge in early rounds as he always plays full steam on. You just need someone who does not fear him and takes it to him, and can also last 3 sets in that mode...
I wonder if Haas could cross his path as a WC.

nah, Haas is an easy prey for Nadal at a slam.
In the early rounds it only can be done by a freaky day of some big hitter putting continuously 1-2 combinations on Raf's behind. I don't think Raonic will do the trick, he's way too shaky if he has to rally in his service games.
Maybe Tsonga in the second week.

You forgot about Ilroy not making the cut at the USO.
Yes it's been a cr@p spring. Weather and sport wise.

Something has to give in.

This is getting ridiculous! I can only imagine the one who logged the complaint was the line judge...probably trying to get some extra $$!

You shouldn't be allowed to get away with injuring people just because you're on a tennis court.
