Henrik - it is not as simple as:

"It doesn't work like that. If it is proved that the additional payments Rangers gave to their players were not told to the league, then those players become ineligible and Rangers lose all their games. The trophies would be distributed to Celtic, Ayr United, Motherwell, Aberdeen, Dundee United and other clubs who finished runners-up to Rangers, in the years they did not declare these payments to the league and governing body."

If Rangers are deemed to have lost all games that were played using ineligible players, it does not necessarily follow that the runners up, win. ALL results would have to be re-worked that involved Rangers. This may give some teams who originally lost more points than others who originally beat Rangers anyway.

And for cup comps, it is a complete nightmare, as you are looking at voiding it (semi finalists who lost to Rangers for example would be looking to be compensated).

And then you get to European games & all the money involved.

And then Internationals, and the co-eff points, tournament draw, penalties for national associations selecting players incorrectly registered with their club's parent association.

Complete nightmare.

Yes, Cooper, I understand for Cup Competitions.

But the other teams who finished third and below in the seasons in which the titles would have been stripped, were about twenty points behind Celtic anyway. Assuming they played Rangers four times then that is only increasing their tally by twelve points, and even if they were only eleven points behind then then the Old Firm derbies Rangers won would see the points given to Celtic anyway. I don't think there'd be a season when any other team could finish above Celtic if we redistributed the points.

Although, for the cup competitions it is a complete nightmare.

Cooper.

Wouldn't the Cup competitions be separate actually and wouldn't be stripped since they are not under the SPL, but the League Cup is run by the SFL and the Scottish Cup by the SFA. So unless both organisations hold their own investigations then I doubt trophies can be stripped at all.

Maybe - and TBH I'll let someone else do the maths I cannot really be bothered.

But IF any titles are removed following any guilty verdict, then it cannot stop there, all competitions entered by those players when at Rangers MUST be re-opened & adjusted.

I just cannot see that happening.

On the non league issue - this is about registration with the SFA surely. If you are not registered with a league, you cannot be registered with the SFA.

And if you are not registered with a national association, then you cannot play in any competitions run under FIFA, UEFA, SFA, SFL, SPL guidelines.
