Hope you showed them who's the boss

When Nadal cannot impose his physical game, he is an easy prey. By hitting some good serves Rosol kept the game short and did not allow Nadal any rhythm.

I have only watched the last 2 games but I can imagine that's what happened.

Quite, but it's sounds easy to do the way you describe it. And it's not. He had a little level drop in the fourth but the other 4 sets were outstanding. That's 4 sets of taking Nadal off guard, very impressive.
It seemed like the net was a foot lower for Rosol. He was hitting so flat and still well inside the lines.

I'll watch the match asap but one thing I know is that it's not that difficult to take sets of Nadal cause he can also send easy balls to handle for some. When you think that a young querrey had MP v Nadal in 2005, that Youzhny, Petchner, Haas and Gulbis made him look average for a few sets. Bellucci played terrible on Tuesday but even him shoudl have closed that first set after being 4/0 up. Nadal did nothing special to comeback.

What I am saying is that Nadal's basic ground shots can be easier to handle than the average player and I am sure that Rosol will have tougher balls to handle versus Kholi for instance.

I don;t want to take anything away from the hero fo the day. He is my star as much as you I am sure, But to beat Nadal one doesn;t need to play anything special like young Djoko once said...you just have to play ok for 3 sets. And I agree that is not easy but if you can keep the points short, you can do it quite easily. If it wasn't for nerves Rosol coudl have won in 3 easy sets.

But he's still extremely hard to beat, you know that.
That's why we don't like him: playing ugly, not doing anything special but sucking all energy and hope out of his opponents.

Rosol did something special yesterday. F.i. for playing his best tennis in the fifth set. He finished the job, something Haase, Petchner, Youzhny, Sod were not able to

Yes certainly.....but as paradoxal as it seems, it doesn;t require an amazing standard cause his game can also make the opponent look better than really is.

What I want to say is that it's a very thin line bewteen being dragged into a tough long battle and losing the match and beating him in 3 easy sets like Querrey, Youszhny, Haase, Petz and Soderling "could have done".

The yesterday match sums it up really well. Rosol could have won in easy 3 and should Rosol had more trouble versus Dodig in the previous round than Nadal!

It's this thin line (winning convincingly in 3 or losing in 5) that has a lot to do with Nadal's opponent more than Nadal himself. But of course for that you need a bit of talent and/or sheer power.

If you watch the match then you can see that Nadal was hoping to get an error from Rosol and he was quite confident of getting that towards the end. It happens usually and Nadal would have thought that Lukas will get tight when serving for the set but Lukas was on another planet only. The last serve game was phenomeonal. I can watch this match again and again , such a pleasure to watch.

Don't need to watch the match for that! I know Nadal's game. he wins matches through his opponent's UEs....not through his winners.
