A lot of people including myself are excited at the "possibility" of Forest being a top flight name again, thanks to the promises of the new owner.
However what i want to know is who is the bigger club, DERBY or FOREST.
Why do i ask?, simply because why did they not choose Derby? I always classed them as a relatively big club, with a good ground etc
P.S Not stirring just asking!
who is the bigger club

Promotion with minimal investment, you see Raymundo
Re the article, we're about the same... it's the same with at least 20 clubs in this country - Leicester, Wolves, Birmingham, Southampton, WBA, Stoke, Sheff Weds, Sheff Utd, etc, etc - big enough to consider they should be top-end of the Championship / small enough to never feel too safe in the Premiership.

the bigger?
historically, derby have spent about 10 more seasons in the top flight than forest.... so derby win out there....
in terms of the fa cup, both are about the same... with 4 fa cup final appearances for derby and 3 for forest. (but forest have won it twice, compared to once for derby)....
forest, however, have been in 6 league cup finals - derby havent been in any... so forest win out there....
so far, pretty even....
but, of course, forest have also won the champions league (or whatever it was called back then)......
so, overall, on balance, historically speaking, forest are just about a "bigger" club than derby.

"We all know what sort of money is to be made in English clubs." David Lloyd, a senior consultant at London-based trade body the Middle East Association (on the al-Hasawis, his positive comments on Forest's new owners).

Manchester City & Chelsea have incurred massive losses/costs in the hundreds of millions. To win trophies or to be a global player means huge outlays. Mr Lloyd's comment sounds like Andy Appleby.
Make money from English football? It is a financial black hole.
