Out
Rodallega - to Fulham 2011/12 11 (12) appearances, 2 goals
Kirkland - to Sheffield Wednesday 2011/12 0 appearances
Diame - to West Ham 2011/12 18 (8) appearances, 3 goals
Gohouri - 2011/12 10 appearances
Conor Sammon - to Derby County, in total 34 appearances, 1 goal
Moses - 2011/12 37 appearances, 6 goals - going, going, gone for £9 million.
Nouha Dicko is going back to Blackpool on season-long loan.
In
Fraser Fyvie from Aberdeen
Ivan Ramis from La Liga side Real Mallorca
Ryo Miyaichi on season-long loan from Arsenal. He was at Bolton last season.
Arouna Kone from La Liga side Levante, the second team in Valencia. He scored 15 times last season.
Martinez hopes to make one further signing.
Back
Mauro Boselli from Estudiantes, with 3 goals in the first 3 friendly games.
A new defender, two midfield players and two more forwards. An in-form Boselli should be better than an out-of-form Rodallega, though I doubt that Miyaichi could match Moses.
Wigan look in pretty good shape for the new season. Half the teams in the Premier League have new managers, or managers new to the Premier League. They will all need to show a steep learning curve.
It will be hard for Swansea and Norwich to match their success of last season. And I think Southampton and Reading both face a long, hard season. As do spectators at West Ham.
I forecast that Wigan will be able to keep clear of the bottom three. It's difficult to say which three will go down, but I think Southampton, Reading and Swansea will struggle. I'll be happy to be proved wrong, unless it's at Wigan's expense of course.
