Ok so tonight the 100m final will be contested, and with 5 men holding the fastest times in the 100m ever,it's going to be special.Of course there is still a semi to be contested but here are the athletes who i think will contest the final.
Bolt
Blake
Powell
Gay
Gatlin
Bailey
Bailey
Gemili
This final goes two ways for me.If bolt get's a decent start and is still level with blake at around 30-50m,Then he takes it.If however bolt is slow out the blocks, blake will win.
The Bronze medal is up for grabs, between the rest of the field.
As for the world record,IF it stays dry,i think it will go.But i have heard that there may be showers in the evening,so a wet race will make it difficult for the record to go.
Thoughts?
Greatest 100metres Final Ever?

So OP, your predos not so accurate.
Bolt got an okish start and still won.
Can't believe how everyone was writing him off. The guy is made for the big stage and he duly delivers. Not a bottler like Powell.

How ironic that Justin Gatlin runs the same time that Ben Johnson ran all those years ago in Seoul.
On another note, Why was there only 3 rounds in the 100 Meters. There usually is 4 rounds, meaning the Heats, Quarter Finals, Semi Finals and Final.

Heats were before the QF on Saturday...

No, I believe there were only 3 rounds here in London. Usually its a four round event. Feel cheated

Really? I thought they were on but the BBC were showing rowing at the time so thats why I thought they had not been aired!

Yeah I'm sure there were only 3 rounds. Every other Olympics this has been a 4 round event. I think its a disgrace they've bipassed a round of races.

There were four rounds. But the major athletes didn't go in the first one.
