Should be a cracking game with England going all out to win the game. Can they win without KP and will the events of the past few weeks have an impact? Or will SA just choke and bottle it?

yeah good points jinky.
interesting what lord lcclaurain was quoted as saying on the KP issue, "People who are told they are the greatest, usually end up in the gutter".
To me this shows the antipathy towards the player which he has had to deal with. As you say, there is a strong chance that jealousy is a relevant issue.
It's interesting that you mention Trott, because I wonder if what one of the things that this series shows us is that we are a bowler light against the top teams.
For me the ideal line up for next summer - subject to form - might be something like :
Cook
Trott
Bopara
Bell
Bairstow
Prior
Woakes
Swann
Tremlett
Finn
Anderson

Hmm, JPB, I dunno.
I really don't think dropping Strauss in the answer.
That team you have picked only really has 4 players who will strike fear into the opposition: Tremlett, Cook, Prior and Anderson.

Agree but think KP will be back for next summer I know some might think that's him finished in a England shirt, but something tells me Flowers will realise how big a player he is just hope this can be sorted
I also think Bresnan will be back in
The think for me is how England pick themselves up from this and Strauss confidence will have taken a massive blow
Anyway never get fed up of watching cricket it must be my age and a jock following England
But sorry not in the football god the press and commentators do my head in, were in cricket it's totally diffrent and love the banter with the ex players

don't think your far off mate and agree about Strauss think it's time maybe to pass the armband on
And the only reason I say that is his stats are well below par so maybe time out the team could be good for him

forget last summer, he should be back for india series. he is one of the Englands best spin player along with cook. If England lose in india, it will be very hard to be back at the top.
