Nasri's outshone David Silva tonight by quite some distance. Hate the but can't take anything away from his performance tonight.
Also, Eid Mubarak to all! Nasri's gesture has made him a lot more popular amongst all Muslims worldwide I'd say.

Eid Mubarak...keep religion out of sport!

Bet you aren't saying that when players are given Christmas Day off. Tool

Games were still played on Christmas Day in England until 1959 and Scotland until 1976.

Haha, so if RVP scores during the X-Mas period and reveals a "Merry X-Mas" vest under his United top do you think all Christian Arsenal fans will suddenly find a place in their heart for him again?

Bubbles be serious, Christmas Day is no longer about religion, it is a commercial holiday now.

Perhaps City should sign an Indian player so we could parade a herd of elephants round the pitch at Diwali.

Don't understand why people are getting so bitter over a message. That too he's just wishing everyone well on an Islamic holiday

Don't think anyone is bitter over a holiday message.
A lot of Arsenal fans seem to despise Nasri, however I've yet to find one who can adequately explain why. They all seem to think he is a mercenary who only joined City for money, and become deeply offended if you suggest to them that some of his motivation must have been to join a club that was more likely to win trophies in the future x

I think the hate started when he sat in the Kings seat while on international duty.
They are bitter because it is connected to islam nothing more nothing less.
When player reveal all sorts on there shirts nothing is said but islam BIG NO NO.

I can honestly say I haven't got a clue what that last reply means.

To their credit neither arsenal nor City fans have indicated anything in this thread that they have a problem with Islam.
All the bitterness to Nasri seems to be based on (fictional?) nonsense, like the petty reason you highlighted about the king's seat.
I hasten to add that this isn't all arsenal fans, but a significant immature minority really need to let it go x
