I usually have a punt on slams. best i done was predicting top 4 all to be in semi at last US. Usually i lose money
My heart as always says Andy to win but after watching that final tonight Federer looks pretty much a lock in.
Hope i'm wrong but i think it's where the smart money should go.
Mon Andy
Winner?

Jonty, are you not implying that the current form that Novak is displaying for you is not high enough to be in with a chance of winning a Slam?

No, where have I ever said that?
Am saying that his form has dipped this season, do you disagree?

2 Masters titles and a Slam this year. Throw in a Slam final and 3 Masters finals I would say he has had a good year. If we are going by 2011 as the benchmark yes the form is not up there, but if we go by other years he has exceeded them by a mile.

Who is saying he hasn't had a good year?
I'm not saying his form this season isn't better than previous ones bar last year.
It's quite incredible how people find it so hard to accept that he's not doing as well this year than last year, it's not a criticism, just an observation.

Jonty I feel you are backtracking. Let's just clear this BS up.
This is a thread about who will win the US Open.
You are saying Djokovic is not playing well. Now is he or is he not playing well enough to win the US Open?
I don't care for the observation crap. If anything it is a poor attempt at winding up NITB.

legend, ffs I'm a Nole fan, my stance is consistent, Nole's form is not as good as last season's and this US Open will be very open with Fed, Murray and Del Potro in the mix, I've said it umpteen times, how you can read anything else into that is beyond me.

So what has his form got to do with this thread if you are refusing to actually answer the question whether he can win it?
You say your a Nole fans but haven't got the brass to come out and actually back him to contend the title.

There is a difference between being a fan and blindly thinking a player is going to win everything.
Did you genuinely just ask what has form got to do with this thread which is about who is going to win the US Open? Did you?

You still didn't answer the question for a fan.

Which, bit of my consistent position are you not getting?
I've said the US Open is completelty open as you have Nole, Fed, Murray and Del Potro in the mix.
That terminology is generally recognised as meaning that any of them can win it.
I've enjoyed most of what you've posted but today you seem to be deliberately obtuse.
