Thudd and Dawson article says they may exit

yes but pav theyve hardly played. dawson played about 40 minutes pre season i think, and thudd less than an hour. they are clearly not in favour under AVB. we certainly have too many centre backs, so i wouldnt not be surprised if dawson went, and if we do get a modric replacement in it wouldnt surprise me that much if thudd goes as well, particuaulry for a half season loan as the article suggests.

Having thought about it a bit more, and got over my jerking knee, I can understand the Hudd move, if true.
He barely played for so long, and will probably have very limited time at Spurs. A good half-season stint at another team would get him back in the groove, as well as hopefully showing AVB what he can do. Just as long as it's not a shop-window for clubs buying in Jan I'll be happy enough.
It would be sad to see Dawson leave, one of our most passionate players.

김치 aka kimchi aka Al-Kimiya
Morning mate, whilst I would like to keep both players, as squad players, we have to move on, its a new dawn now. The team will be revolving around players like Kaboul, Vertonghen, Caulker, Livermore, Sandro, Bale, etc. plus any new players that start coming through the doors in the near future.
There comes a time when you have to part company with certain players, and start to go in a different direction. I am sure there will be many changes in the next year or so. AVB will want to shape his side, not live in the past.

Sandy - I have over the course of the day come around to that way of thinking
I think the happiest thing for me is that Levy and the club seem to be thinking long-term with AVB at the helm, it fills me with confidence, even if there is a short-term drop-off in results. Us fans need to be patient and back the team AND the manager to the hilt in the meantime. Let's show those Cha-avs how it SHOULD be done eh?
Dawson clearly lacks something AVB is looking for. He has never been ready to take on the 'senior' CB role imo, which is not good enough by the age of 28, and has always needed a steadying hand such as Gallas or King to curb his more extreme moments of madness and put in most of those brilliant performances we all (well, most of us) remember so fondly.
Speaking of which, surely next priority is NEW KEEPER and ditching Gomes.
Huddlestone on the other hand, is in my opinion the best passer of the ball in terms of range of delivery we have had since Hoddle (NOTE: last time I said this some people took this to mean BEST PLAYER since Hoddle - no way - read again).
I fully hope a loan will see him incredibly influential at wherever he goes and encourage AVB toi welcome him back to the Lane

Yes mate, many thanks. Surgeon and staff all absolutely amazing. Virtually foolproof op they said, as far as these things go
No fit nurses though
Rubbish R&B/pop played in operating theatre
Funny thing is, I spent my last few minutes (hours? ) at home online seeing that Daws and Hudd were possibly off, no new players incoming, and still meltdown on here about Llorente (as if! )
Woke up from the general in a state of utter panic
Brother-in-law came in and told me Bassong had left
Get home and Ade has signed (didn't really want him but let's face it we were getting more than desperate)
Resigned myself to Daws being off and sounds like maybe a decent bid's in with a possible bidding war to come
Levy seems to be backing the new regime, possibly at the expense of short-term results, but longer-term view with exciting young players being taken
Always a slight risk with a general, plus an eye op's always a bit of a worry, must admit I said my prayers as I went under, helps you get a few things in perspective, maybe. Basically I will be avoiding all NEW STRIKER articles until the transfer window's shut
Right, maybe enough squinting at the PC for tonight. Hope everyone else is well too

good it's gone well.
i've had issues with general anasthetic twice. it seems that i am not easy to put to sleep
please about spurs developments personally. a bit surprised at some of the transfers mentioned, but weve wanted a clean out for a while, and we're getting it now. glad AVB had a look at the squad first, but it seems he's made his mind up now. trust in AVB

Cheers JPB
Yeah I've seen your Youtube vids after a general anaesthetic or two...this man needs the elephant tranquilisers
Yes indeed, very much surprised here, but after a bit of reflection I'm excited, and will be taking the medium term+ view I think (so may not be on here much for the next few games )
My biggest worry was Levy apparently not backing AVB - that's dissipating now. And AVB still has some balls eh?!
I think young Carroll may have a bigger part to play this season than I'd expected (not in big games obviously)...

forgotten about carroll. maybe yeah ?

basically for now at least, i will assume that anything AVB does is right
if that's caroll, then fine
