I've An Idea!

To get the whole cricket debate on the new ja606 going I propose that we name our current best world Test, ODI and T20 World XIs. Have fun guys! Here are my teams:

Test:
1) Virender Sehwag
2) Alastair Cook
3) Jonathan Trott
4) Jacques Kallis
5) Sachin Tendulkar
6) Michael Hussey
7) MS Dhoni (c) (wk)
8) Graeme Swann
9) Dale Steyn
10) Zaheer Khan
11) James Anderson

ODI:
1) Shane Watson
2) Virender Sehwag
3) Kumar Sangakkara
5) Yuvraj Singh
6) Eoin Morgan
7) MS Dhoni
8) Graeme Swann
9) Lasith Malinga
10) Umar Gul
11) Zaheer Khan

(I dont watch T20 cricket so I haven't got an XI, but you guys knock yourselves out!)

Have fun and please tell your friends about ja606, lets get this place up and running, it seems a bit dead at the minute. Thanks,

Surely, to get debate going, we need a thread saying that Don Bradman was better than Tendulkar?

Not suddenly. Against stronger opposition (Australia, India, South Africa - he hasn't played Sri Lanka yet) Swann's record is quite mediocre.

16 tests, 58 wickets @36.87, SR 72.4, 3.6 wickets per test. Not the kind of bowler I would want in a World XI.

Unfortunately, there are no other decent spinners in world cricket today - so I'm just backing my hunch. From what I've seen of Tahir so far (admittedly not a great deal), I think he would do a lot better against similar opposition. I'm hopelessly biased in favour of legbreak/googly bowlers anyway.

At the end of this summer, after Sri Lanka and India have played England, I would have a more definitive picture of how good Swann really is.

Sehwag, is that the guy that was brought in to strengthen Indias pathetic cricket team against England this week? and scored GOLDEN DUCK and then GOLDEN DUCK I will stick to Strauss and Cook thanks, who made almost 400 runs between them in 1 innings
