Referees eyesight

Next time you think the ref should spot everything going on on the field, take a look at this video and then see what you think. http://viscog.beckman.illinois.edu/flashmovie/15.php .

what chance has our refs got with that they would not see the gorilla they cant see forward passes in front of them

We as spectators have got a lot better view of a forward pass then the referee most of the times.
The ref is at ground level and moving with considerable speed with 26 objects running around blocking his view consentrating on keeping out of the attacking players way.
Whilst we as spectators are sitting elevated 5-yards to 15 yards with no-one blocking our view.
Or watching it on the idiot box from which the camera is fitted up high.
I blame the linesman solely on forward passes.
