Scotland last night

Morning Troops

Ok so we lost last night, Bale s second goal was world class, now question for me is how long has Levein got left, will the SFA sack him ...no I think they will wait to see what happens in our group but for me Scotlands changes are near but over.

Strachan is the man for me

I know we have players that dive and im one to call it straight away when hardly any contact is made. But, Celtic and Scotland have had awful desciscions go agaist them over the years, mainly becasue we look stupid doing it, where as other nations practice it and look good doing it.

The only way to stop it is to have someone in the stands watching, and when they see a player like Bale constantly cheating, the REF gives a penalty against that player, and a card!

Whilst I applaud the sentiments, Logie, are you really saying that last night, when Bale went down, a penalty should have been awarded TO Scotland, AND Bale sent off?

Never going to work.

Football is flawed because people are flawed - you will never get 100% correct decisions all the time.

Yes players are looking for every advantage they can get - do you really think it will bother Bale if he has a reputation as someone who goes down easily, whilst still collecting the 6 figure paypacket every week?

Not saying it is right, just getting realistic.

The rules are dives are yellow card. And that is about right.

But with Maloney saying it was not a dive.....

There should be an automatic three match ban that can be enforced post-match for anyone caught diving.

Ramsey was at it all night last night, should have seen by the hour mark.

How to PROVE it though?

You want every single incident of a match reviewed from 8 different angles then retrospective punishments?

Nah, no thanks.

Goal line tech - yes - it is the entire point of the game.

Other than that - nope.

Yet Rug y has it sorted with a quick time out to review replays on key decisions.

Last night that wild have meant goal stood. 2-0 game over. It would also have shown accidental coming together at worst or dive. No pen

It would have taken half a minute to review by 4th official

Football is pathetic for not taking advantage of this technology.

It would stamp this diving malarkey once and for all if they knew they would be found out during the game via replays and punished

DC

Rugby is the perfect example. Only tries and incidents such as violence are reviewed by replays

We should have the same in footy

coop, i think it takes something drastic to stop it!

Can you imagine if the descision had been reveiwed and we were given the PEN and Wales lose. I think fans and managers would be saying to players. stay on you feet if you dont get touched!

Im just sick and tired of, something needs to change, and now, before it gets worse!

Is it not the case that in rugby the ball isnt out until it touches the ground.
Had that applied last night then Fletchers goal would have stood.

The amount of contact Maloney made on Bale was no where near enough to force a strong professional football players leg over enough for him to trip himself. It is a skill which I have no doubt Bale literally practices and unfortunately for us, came off for him last night. Doesn't change the fact we performed way below the sum of our parts against a hard working, but poor Welsh team.

Complete tosh...if you're travelling as fast as Bale does, it only takes the slightest of contacts...Did Maloney contest the decision??? No...Man up sweaties best team won on the night....
