I think it's time....

For a glass of Chardonnays sitting aside from all of this parody. This brand of tennis doesn't excite me anymore. Running around a ball with no purpose, like kids in the courtyard, forever and ever. This is not what I have learned and what it was meant to be. Even my friend Alexandre, a former pro from Argentina, appears to be nouseated by the banality of todays game. He remembers the time when the great Gulliermo Vilas enchented the crowds with his shy charms. He would have taught these brats a lesson or two about what it means to be a real champion. I personally could not agree more.....

The homogenisation of the surfaces has taken a lot of the variety that different surfaces brought to the game away
What does it mean to be a real champion?

Totally agree with you PM, I did not even watch the final.

VJ, don't you want to add something on the thread you created about Murray not defending his (Shanghai) titles (this one he defended once but not this year). Also, do you know why the other forum is not working today? Cheers!

By the way, I know VJ your thread was about Tokyo, but I added Shanghai in () just to hint you on the fact he hasn't defended it again, but it was for a hat trick as he managed to defend it last year as the others from the top 4 were absent

I had some trouble trying to get into the other forum earlier but it seems to be ok now
Murray failing to defend a title is not news...Federer's 300 weeks at no1 is definitely news...
Will we ever see another player reach such a milestone in their career?

Rather that than talentless meatheads like Raonic. Thankfully, fair conditions will force athletes - not tennis players - like Raonic to actually learn how to return and play with feel so we won't be seeing any meathead tennis for some while. Oops, I meant 'attacking tennis'.
