Useless?!! You serious?!!! They took us to 4 (I repeat FOUR) Finals out of 5 ... Italia 90, Sweden 92, England 96 and France 98 ... and I was at all four.

Brown missed out on 2000 and 2002 so it's 4 out of 7.
We also had better players. Players who should have and did qualify. We can't say the same now. With the players then we should have been getting through the first round of actual tournaments. Maybe useless was a bit OTT but they could have done better.
