I often read but rarely post, but the 1882 movement post earlier peed me off properly. The gist of that article being that spurs fans need to be making noise regardless. Rubbish. If you think singing equals atmosphere you are the spurs equivalent of the England brass band, if you want 90 minnutes of singing join a choir. If its not spontaneous in reaction to the match then it seems kind of forced and pointless. I believe the team can be inspired and lifted by the crowd, chanting for 90 minutes in any event would reduce the effectiveness of such support in my opinion. A good atmosphere is fantastic, but if you cannot appreciate football without singing then take an ipod with crowd noise on it, you pretentious priks. Thinking you know best how a paying supporter should behave is beyond belief.
Happily awaiting complete ridicule from fellow fans, but thats what I honestly think on the matter

I don't think you quite understand the reason behind the 1882 movement, it's unity through following Spurs, singing, creating an atmosphere. If you don't like what they do or what they stand for then guess what..

Plank, he's probably from another era when we were winning league titles and FA Cups, it's a different time where the expectations are high and the fans can easily turn if we are playing bad

they took 250 to chalrton youth game and got behind the boys, this must really make thoses young players wnat to achieve things and play well and realise what a great club they are at
HRH & Chronic.. it will make a diference even if it is members getting the tickets as it will put the people who wnat to get behind the team together, none of us carry on singing if al around you are quiet

yes they prob had a few in the pub but if i remember my days in the corner pin we would have about 6-8 pints before the game to leave room for lots more after so rarely drunk at the game itslelf
