Okay so Rangers owe Hearts c.£800k that is due in 2 instalments. Hearts require the money early and Mr Green offers to pay early at a discounted rate. If you were settling a loan at the bank early you would pay at a discounted rate so I dont see what the issue is!
Have any of the uber wealthy SPL clubs stepped in and offered to pay Hearts in advance for tickets for up and coming games, eh naw! Thought as much!
Some people only see the bad side when Rangers and Mr Green are involved. I applaud Mr Green for at least stepping forward with a solution whilst everyone else sits on their hands and .

I thought it was an entirely sensible thing for Green to do to be fair.
Although I'm not entirely sure the details of the offer - if the discount was horrifically low then it's huge opportunism and he leaves himself open to accusations of kicking Hearts when they're down....

Ivan - can anybody REALLY complain about Rangers kicking anybody when their down? Remember by not paying Hearts there is the potential the money, like a lot of money owed to Rangers, could just goto the SFA to pay for the blazers or indeed to recompense Levein or whoever is next!

Ally - I'm not complaining mate. I'd expect the chairman of my team to make a similar offer. However it doesn't look great if we're being honest and we all know people will use it as a stick to beat him with.

The story going round last week was that Hearts came to Rangers and offered £100k discount for us paying the Wallace money ahead of time. Looks like Charlie made them a counter-offer....
