Arkle remains Supreme

Despite the vain attempts of certain parties to state otherwise,Arkle remains Supreme as the greatest steeplechaser ever seen and whose like has never been seen since.

As later results proved, only a premature end to his career with a cracked pedal bone aged 9 prevented him from winning SIX Cheltenham Gold Cups and he is the only racehorse to have a race named in his honour at the Festival itself and that is most unlikely to ever change.

One horse who could emerge as the greatest English steeplechaser since Mill House is Sprinter Sacre and everyone will be monitoring his relentless progress over the next few seasons...he already has the nickname "Black Aeroplane" !

I agree on both views.

Sprinter Sacre is definitely the real deal and could well go on to attain legendary status.

Although to be fair Arkle's amazing weight carrying performances in races like the Hennessy can never be matched due to condition changes.

Reebok shhhhhhhhh this will only encourage him lol

But i agree, spriner sacre does look a class act. Be interesting to see how he responds if/when upped in distance.
