Australia Vs Sth. Africa

Sth.Africa are in all sorts of trouble @ 6 for 97 with all 4 quicks getting in amongst the wickets.
Smith won the toss and decided to bat.
Clarke was also going to bat if he had won the toss he stated.
Whether it's today or tomorrow I'm sure Ricky Ponting will get a huge avation walking out to the middle..

Currently in the 36.3 over.

Despite the target being 600 plus I still have a feeling this could be close as the wicket has flatten out and the Aussies bat all the way.

No hope Kash, Aus would have to reach 400 with only 4 wickets down, can't really see that happening, no matter how good this pitch is purported to be.

lool duncan its possible. if ab who was struggling with the bat since he became keeper scored at run a ball, I see no reoson why aus cant.

its a hard one cause aus will have to score runs without losing wickets. especially the top 3 will have to make sure they score 300+ without losing wickets.

With Kirsten in charge, I think SouthAfricans have eventually managed to get rid of choking phenonmenon and 632 will be easily defended by them.

Sad ending to Pontings test career.

Well done and congratulations to the Sth.African team, with a special mention to Captain Smith for ushering his players to form a guard of honour on Ponting entering the ground for the last time in his illustrious career....

This SA team is just too strong at the moment. They well head and shoulders above every other test playing nation at the moment. The way they've end up winning the series after the trouble they were in in Adelaide speaks volumes about their quality.

A special mention to Ricky Ponting. What a player, what a captain, what an urban legend. Thanks for the memories big guy.

Let's hear it for Ricky Ponting.
The memories and qualities he has brought to followers of cricket and sport in general will be hard to compare.
Top cricketer, top sportsman, top gentleman.
Hope Ricky has a great future in whichever field he chooses.
Thanks for the memories.

I hope Ponting doesn't join the "9" commentary team.....I hate seeing Aust. 5 down for 120 odd and look at the screen with the likes of Taylor, Slater, McGrath etc. still looking as if they could be out there doing their bit...
