Sam Allardyce v Owen Coyle

Not sure youcould call the players worthless... especially as Bolton sold Anelka for £15m (wasn't it?).

Also the players other players were "worth" something! They were well worth their wages - and performed well on the most part for Bolton!

You need a mixture of the two. No fan wants most of their team courted by others as it becomes annoying like the Cahill saga. Which I believe wenger is waiting a couple of weeks in the hope we panic and lower price. Some players who can become legends like campo is good for any club even if there is no profit.

Anelka was the exeption to the rule and was a massive risk when we took him on.

Also agnetha, coyle got petrov, is he not a big player?

Looking forward so much to the new season. Have we signed anyone of note yet though? Eagles? Mears?

Why was Sam Allardyce able to attract the big name players to Bolton whereas Owen Coyle can`t?

Simple really, OP.

Coyle and Allardyce are looking for different types of players. When you look back, think of the players that Coyle has brought in and where from:

He has loaned 2 of Englands hottest prospects

He has been strongly linked with 2 good players from the best team in the world

He has bought 1 and loaned another player from one of the top 5 clubs in the world.

I like Coyles ambition and say it is better than Allardyces, as he is actually going for younger players with potential, which are more difficult to sign than 33+ year olds...

It is rather sad and getting quite tiresome reading your posts. Do us all a favour and stop posting your drivle. I am sure we will be just fine this season under coyle. Why ask if we have signed anyone of any note when you obviously dont support BWFC and may catch a handful of games per season. Shame

I'm not really interested as to whether this person is a wum or not. It's a valid question they ask. We had some absolutely incredible players under Allardyce.
