A statement on the club website (Reading FC) said the Royals would pay a "substantial fee" for the 28-year-old who joined them on loan in November.

Since moving to the Madjeski Leigertwood has made 28 appearances and only been on the losing side twice.
The Angtiua international said: "I'm delighted. I've been very happy since the first minute I got here."
The deal will go through on 1 June when the domestic transfer window opens. Leigertwood added: "I've been made so welcome. It's such a good club and it's been a good season - now I'm hoping it can get even better."

I believe that this was to be expected; the fact of going out on loan meant he was unlikely to fit in with Ranger's premiership campaign. This news will almost surely be greatly welcomed by Reading fans, so I'd be interested in your reactions.
