Well, for us Reading fans, I see that as a disappointing defeat and as we really dug in for a point, but didn't get it which was a real heartbreaker for us. Looking at the team difference in terms of quality, I was fearing the worst (6-0 minimum) but we pulled it off and at half time I was thinking that we would, it got to 90 minutes I was almost jumping around, and then, Barry scored the header. You name how bad that was, how bad it felt for us.
There are definately some positives to take out of that game, Pogbrenyak was a good asset at the start of the season and is proving some worth for us right now and Pearce is out best CB, why McDermott isn't playing him week in week out (when he is fit), I've no clue. Should have had a penalty 1 for the handball from Rakik and then from the Tabb incident and possible from Pearce's couple of headers that missed the target so it almost feels we could have snatched 3 points from the blue.
For Man City, well, you tell me. Did you think you got lucky from that game? Well, it's what the best teams do to lower clubs really so we were unfortunate really, but I want your opinions on this really. You put the pressure on Man United via quite a lucky win as it's always tough to go to Swansea and get a result and come away from 3 points. If I remember correctly, you didn't come away with any? But lets here from you guys on the Man City board!
Anyway for Reading, chins up, a performance like that should earn us a valued 3 points against Swansea at home on Boxing Day. We are capable of doing so.

The point is that Reading played for a draw and were disappointed they didnt get one. However on terms of possesion, creativity, tactics Reading were woefully inadequate. A one trick pony that set out the shop from the first minute so it shouldnt have been a suprise that we scored be it in the first or 93rd minute.
I dont blame reading for their attitude but please to say that you were unlucky not to get a point? Stretching it by a long way or you could conversly say that in terms of chances you were very lucky not to get a cricket score against.

9-0-1 and time wasting after 30mins have no pace in football - you didn't even try to counter..

Can't say i saw any penalty decisions go against Reading. The Rekik one was never a penalty against Tabb, Rekik came in side, Tabb was running goalward they met shoulder to shoulder Rekik stayed strong, since when is a shoulder charge a penalty? If you want to be pedantic what about Pearce trying to take the shirt of Yaya in the penalty box that was more a penalty shout than Tabb's. Did not see the handball by Rekik so can't comment on that one.As for Reading deserving a point, just for the fact that you set your stall out to defend for 90 mins i feel that you did that "and very well i might add" so for that alone i can understand your dissappointment at not getting a point as it was a gutsy effort.

Edin perry nutcase said the penalty shout against arsenal wasnt a penalty because he kept his arms close to his body. The one that readong should habe had was a definate pen. erm perry his arm was close to his body as well!!!!!

But even so, we had a chance of a point but we didn't get it unfortuantely. We wanted a point, we were never going to get all 3 even though e had chances to do so.

Sorry, Perry Groves the well known pundit who has never played for Arsenal and has no connection to the club at all> He was doing the match analysis on sky sports for all saturdays games.
I have to say that its not just fans who are blind to their own team and hypercritical of supposed rivals but the pundits are as well, or at least most of them. I never thought I would say this but congrats to G Neville who manages to give a fairly unbiased and reasonable summary of all matches and clubs.

lee on foxsports we had Davie Provan as the pundit. He stated quite emphatically that Rekik stood firm and was stronger than tabb he had every right to do so, good defending by the youngster. No problem with the goal either Barry entitled to go for the ball as shorey did not get off the ground or attempt to attack the ball. He also mentioned the holding of Toure by Pearce saying linesman ( refs assistants) should get more involved in those decisions if as in this case it was directly in their eyeline .
