Federer Finally Showing His Age....

By losing to Murray in a Grand Slam Tournament.

Andy and his mum must be so relieved that Federer's age is finally catching up with him.

Dismantled?
Old man Federer still pushed in prime Murray to 5 sets!! LOL
Its true the old man doesn't stand a chance against this new breed of doping tennis players and today proved yet again that the old man plays clean

You think how lucky Roger was because he had 10 years between himself and the previous great Pete Sampras. Where as Andy's age difference is 6 years between him and Roger.

How many fewer Majors would Roger had won if it was also 6 years.

Its amazing how this keeps happening - As one greats' age is catching up on him or her so there is someone else to take advantage. I suppose that's sport for you.

Vee-Jay are you accusing Andy Murray of using PED's?

Pete-fed, fed-murray comparison is not same. Pete was ending his career when fed started whereas murray is now nearly in his 7th or 8th year

I'm not comparing the Pete-Fed & Fed-Murray is he same. I'm saying how lucky Federer was that the age dif. was 10 years so he didn't have a great overlapping his career unlike Murray.

The original writer seemed to be hinting at how lucky Murray was to win to a player who's age is now catching up on him. Well how lucky is/was Federer that he didn't have a great ie Sampras overlapping any of his career at the beginning, until Nadal (on clay 1st) came along.

It was all that Blackpool sea air from that all inclusive jolly in the penthouse suite at the Dalmeny in Lytham with Judy and Kim, did him the power of good.
I bet he'll be booking that one again for sure.
My mate Simon is one of the concirege's there and had to look after them during their stay he said he's a typical Scot when it came round to the tipping business. (tight as ducks ring) And they skimmed all the soap,stationary,biscuits,t-bags/coffee and the plastic shower cap Allegedly.

@Fourthree, very valid point.
There is no denying that Fed is aging and he will need the draw on his side to win another slam. It's really tough to play back to back 5 setters in current scenario as defence has really buckled up. The players are more equipped to retrieve and retrieve. Players like Ferrer only win because they never pull the pllug and just wait for their opponent to make error. Djoker too used the same formula when he was nearly down and out against Wawrinka. It is a tragedy and there does not seem to be any remedy available.

Vee-jay

Yes, Murray dismantled Federer. The statistics tell this to be true. Only smug Roger's stubborness, fight and luck with the net cord allowed this to be prolonged. Murray also returned very poorly in sets 2, 3 and 4. He served excellently though. Smug Roger had one BP in three sets.

It was a shame to see Roger verbally abusing the opposite player, too. Pathetic behaviour.
