Aus open final 2013

Murray v Djoko - the story continues.

These 2 hardly met in past six or seven years which could be owed to the luck of the draw and as well as to the dominance of Fed-Nadal. Djoko leads the overall h2h. Djoko has won 10 whereas Murray has managed to win 7 of those meetings. Murray has won more finals but lost the last encounter at ATP finals.

I am quite surprised to see that most of the experts and majority is favouring Djoko to win this mainly because of the fact that he is the defending champion and they way he dismantled Ferrer. I think Murray is the favourite here as he is playing good tennis now, the monkey is off the back and during last GS final Murray outlasted Djoko who outlasted Nadal before. In current situation Murray seems to the fittest and today's tennis is the survival of the fittest.

Murray was very dominating against Federer and has the game to beat Djoko as we saw in the last year Semi final.

Yes, it will be close but I am sure that Murray will pull it off as he does not have that extra pressure of being slamless. He will just need to play without fear same way he did in the semi.

I hope you're right WOW. Pressure probably more on Novak and hopefully this will weigh on him a little as the match goes longer and stays tight.

i'm going for another 5 set win for Andy

Polby, I don't know if you remember but I was right for the US open as well. Murray and Novak are the two top players now but Murray should have edge tomorrow due to the last final played between two and even the last year's semi was Murray's match but Nole turned it around in the end. Nole has had his fiar share of luck as well with the match points and somewhere that streak will end.
