You seem like Wolves last season, no ideas. Went to the Southampton game and they were in complete control without getting out of second gear, bit like Newcastle really. The time to worry is when teams don't have to work hard to beat you.
The only Villa players to come out of tonight with any credit were Agbonlahor, N'Zogbia, Benteke and Weimann. Bannan absolutely woeful as is Clark.
With Everton (A), Spammers (H), Arsenal (A) and City (H) I can't see any light at the end of the tunnel for you.

Add Guzan, one of the best keepers around. Just need to add another 4! In fact, if we'd got Sissoko instead of Newcastle, that alone would have had a big impact.
Saying the others would struggle in league 1 is too harsh. Lowton, Clark, Westwood, Stevens and Baker have potential, the problem is they've been thrown in the deep end too quickly. Also, there's too much chopping and changing, which doesn't help.

McParland is delusional, Lowton, Clark, Westwood, Stevens and Baker are all awful. Baker and Clark HAD potential but by playing every week alongside the rubbish at Villa they're never going to fulfill that potential.
I'm not sad or embarrassed about Villa any more, just fuming that this is happening to my club. Lambert hasn't got a clue - he should be being hounded out. Worst manager I can remember for a long time and he bought the five or six woeful players that keep letting Villa down each week. Lerner is also a complete let down and clearly doesn't care any more. He's put money in but he's also watching Villa sink into the Championship without the slightest of interest, deluding himself that we'll be ok, and not putting the money in to buy players like Sissoko or Denuchy - players that would make a huge difference to the quality of Aston Villa's starting line up.
I frickin hate everyone associated with the club right now. We're a shambles, an embarrassment, and the league's whipping boys. Good job Lerner and Lambert you muppets.

I'm delusional? You say Clark and Baker are awful, then you say they HAD potential. You don't lose potential over a few months. Clark's been thrown in the deep end, trying to run the defence and captain the team while Vlaar was out. That's a huge ask. Baker's that bit younger, needs a lot more experience, made mistakes but also made critical blocks. One way or another I think both players will make it.
