Who is Adil Nabi?

I had made a article before about the lack of Asians in professional football in the UK.

I was informed by a Villa fan that Adil Nabi is one such player. I don't know much about him, (I assume he is of Pakistani decent) so came here to see what WBA fans know about him and how he is rated.

But still there's no getting away from the data.

Kash my man, there is no racism issue, I was being sarcastic. It's a point whereby just because there are less of one race, doesn't mean there is racism. In fact using the data available, I'm sure you could work it out very easily. Now I'm not going to go into it, finding data but I'm sure we can all agree that Asians who come here(and next generations) have a strong interest in medicine etc. A very high percentage woul dgo into medicine and despite there only being 7.8% of the population Asian, the hospital I work in has a higher percentage of Asians. It's normal. Just as it's normal that less Asians are in football when you consider 7.8% of 3600 is just 280, it's quite reasonable to expect there to be very few Asians in football.

The racist card is an easy one to throw around but I just wish people would take things more seriously and look at the evidence before running around screaming racism. It just leads to anger which in turn can lead to actual racism.

Kash, what's wrong with the data? Why don't you like it? It's better than a few words from Clarke Carlisle who likes to create and promote racism, so he can pretend to fight it.

Oh look, England fans accused of 'racism'. Now I don't know what was sang about Rio but considering he likes to racially abuse others, I'm not sure what he has to complain about. Not that two wrong's make a right, of course. They do need to learn the difference between racially abusive chants and racism though, especially in football. Some idiots will sing anything to annoy another. For me that's not racism, it's racial abuse.

This coming after the English press had convinced the sheep about the racists in Ukraine and Poland and the saintly British were at the forefront, with Clarke Carlisle and the likes of the other idiots, telling English fans to stay away.

What will the punishment be? A fine for the English FA? A game behind closed doors? It's worked before hasn't it? Yeah, it hasn't really. The only thing that works is tackling the individuals. Start ejecting people from the games and you'll soon cut it out. These are idiots who think it's OK to use any means they like to annoy others, put them out and ban them. It'll soon stop.

Toor my response was also sarcastic

Some of the Asians that you are referring to are not actually British and have come to work in the UK as medical professionals due to a shortage at some levels. It's the same with programmers who tend to be Indian are imported cos they are bloody good and cheap.

The only reason why i can relate to Clarke's doc is cos that's something I have witnessed myself but anyway i'm not going to drag this conversation much more and as I said originally I hope this kid makes it so views can be changed both sides

TOOR that Rio thing i agree with you but I think that's UEFA's chance to tell England to get their own house in order before complaining about others as well the scare mongering stories that were made out before the Euro's in Ukraine and Poland.

Yes I accept that but surely if there was racism, you'd be show that against everyone the same race, you wouldn't be any less racist to somebody not born in the country?

I've no doubt there have been instances which have occurred but that happens in every walk of life, an incident of discrimination occurs. That doesn't mean it's right, it isn't, however to say Asians can't get into football because of racism is a radical view and certainly Clarke Carlilse likes to take that approach. Look how he riled up the English before the last Euro's, how'd that turn out?

Many players who are good enough, get released and work back up. Many kids don't make it out of the millions and millions who try and considering Asian's only make up 7.8% of the population, it's understandble there are so few.

Again, the kid is in the youth team and doesn't make it, it's not because he's Asian. He's in the youth team, they've taken him on, his race is nothing to do with it. It will simply be that he isn't good enough.

Who is Adil Nabi?

Mark my words - he'll be the replacement for Saido Berahino. We've got a gem here.

Well done to the Academy.

Had suffered a really bad injury and was out for a long period of time.
