I was a fan of SO'D for most of the time until at the end when he had no plan "B", and substitutions were not the best.
Why has he suddenly come out and bad-mouthed Doncaster Rovers (at least the Board)?
Is he trying to upset the confidence of the team that might go to the Championship as his slips into League One?
I hate to think this, but the timing seems strange.

All S'OD seems to be referring to is how he had done the honurable thing when Burnley came calling and again with Sheff U.and insisted that a severance was agreed between the clubs but when Rovers dismissed him it was handled very badly - firstly it was by text (which he does not mention) and then he was placed on Gardening leave rather than pay up his contract in the hope that S'OD would renege on his contract instead of compensating him. He was treaed very shabbily and he is just stating the facts. As he says he never got rich playing the game and it is his livelihood.
The Board were quick to let DS go once Wolves offered the money

Whether I agree with the comments made or not I think they have all been respectfully made.
I would add that with the information I have at my disposal some of your comments are 100% correct.

I've been away from my computer for two days (it happens, and it is great for a retired person), but Oh My Gawd, I did not realize people were so sensitive about Sean. All I questioned was timing, because I thought so much good about Sean. I'd like to know the truth, but it is unlikely anyone but Sean and JR really will know.
I did not want to resurrect the Sean discussions at all - it was just a question of timing.
Fuzzy - if you thought my posting was provocative, I just hate to think what you will think when I really let rip! However, please keep up your great previews to our matches and your fascinating travel-logue of Swiss football.
Maybe at this stage I will say I will not comment again on Sean.

I don't think that the timing has anything to do with SoD; he refers to Man U just losing on 5th March and the Rovers comment was a very small part of the interview.
I have to say that my appreciation of him has risen massively reading this. Admittedly from quite a low point.
I find his comments on players and their appreciation of how to play most interesting.
I have to agree, that probably the biggest handicap to changing football style in this country is the supporters.
I, also, am starting to see why Alex is so defensive when the SoD subject comes up.
Used car salesmen (people?) are at the top of my least liked people, so someone who has made a fortune selling body parts to people that don't really need them, has to do a lot of convincing to get onto my honourable list.

Say_lavee,
There is a lot more I could say but I won't because it always provokes adverse comments. Its really down to Sean to explain the facts and I would think that is probably when the book comes out.
