James Wade

In my opinion, he is without doubt the best finisher in the World, and that was evident again last night.

If he could just score higher at the beginning of games then once he leaves himself on a finish- you'd back him against anyone.

Why does he hit a treble twenty and then drop down to treble nineteen, before going for treble twenty again? Usually there are only three reasons for doing this: treble twenty is obstructed; scoring fifty-seven works better arithmetically; or you are just much more comfortable with treble nineteen? I'm not criticising it, I'm just intrigued as to whether he gains some sort of strategical advantage that I just cannot see.

Wade's a phenomenal player, but sometimes you just don't understand him, I know he has had a lot of problems and that affects his darts but he has the potential to be the best. What mood he is in determines how he plays far too often, but it's good to see him second in the table now.

Yeah, shame he hasn't the mental toughness. Would have made darts a lot more interesting over the last few years if he had been able to reach his potential consistently.

I am pretty confident he will be able to keep it together for a couple of weeks to win the World Championships in the next 3 or 4 years though.
