I just can't see what this guy offers. No vision, limited skill and only seems capable of scoring tap ins/deflections.
I think on Thursday either hudd or Carroll have to start ahead of him as they are simply much better players.
Does anyone rate him? I just think he isn't good enough for us.

Dundee, he was awful before his injury.
Only important goals he has scored were v united, which were open goals...
He's looked good v Coventry and Leeds, I think that is more a case of him finding his level.

He was a cut-price potential VDV replacement who hasn't worked out. Unlike VDV he wasn't demanding a guaranteed first-team place, and we've saved on wages and what we made on VDV's fee.
Overall I still think the deal/swap made sense - worth the risk on balance even if it hasn't worked out - long as we sell him on in the summer, with lesson learned, and get another CF in (two if we can get that useless get Ade off the books).
Carrol deserves a chance next game for me. Thudd needs multiple games to even prove he can get match-fit again. Not enough time left for me this season to see him as a starter.
Add912 - Dembele's probably still carrying that apparently ever-present hip injury.

Hi Bale me out. Agreed that he suffered from the headless chicken routine but I got the feeling that he just needed to settle into a system. Maybe it's too late for him now but I'd like to see him part of the squad next season

Dempsey is absolutely atrocious. He hasn't scored ONE shot that wasn't a deflection or rebound, only decent goal i've seen him score were headers v leeds, coventry which looked like accidents. Oh and theyre not prem teams. Awful player. Awful

Maybe Dundee. But I just don't see any redeeming features for him.
Watching qpr at the moment, I really hope townsend takes his position in the squad for next year.

Townsend will be back in the squad.
But still questions about his attitude (he ed apparently when loaned out to Leeds) .

Dempsey was a last minute panic buy when our first choice targets were either unavailable or too expensive, it was either Dempsey or nobody.
After all this criticism, what are the odds on him scoring the winner in Basle.

One moment of excellence doesn't overcome a season of meh.
Spurs are currently in the position where they cannot really afford (literally or metaphorically) to have players in the squad whose season rating is meh.

Couldn't agree more OP, i think Dempsey is an absolute shocking footballer and i don't care if he's just a squad player, he is not good enough for tottenham hotspur football club. He can't control a ball, has the most weakest shot i have ever seen for an attacker, has no pace and can't pass. What the f uck does he do apart from score the odd tap in?
