As in any business one leads in to the other. Either fares go up or the taxpayer foots the bill.

Do I think they should be paid less? On balance, probably yes. Less holiday too, in line with most others. They are very lucky they work in a monopoly where they can bring London to a standstill if they don't get what they want. Blackmail

Foot and Jones are exactly the same age - strange one sued over much less while the other didn't. Especially such a strong character such as a Union leader

Some would say that's greedy. Crow is well paid to essentially cause trouble to ensure his members get as much as they can by what is essentially blackmail of the British public.

Some would say that's looking after yourself. Should he have a bust of Thatcher up in his office?

A London tube driver earns around £48,000 a year...................................seems like a good wage to me. As for Crow, he is so far to the left he makes Scargill look moderate!

The information re Jones came from a Soviet ex KGB defector, Oleg Gordievsky. Subsequent information on other's activities have also been proved to be true!

He does well for a few at the expense of the many. Hardly good socialist practise that. Just shows what hypocritical bullsheet it all is with Union leaders.

His time is coming though, as it is with all greedy people. It takes a lot less time to train a guard than a driver - powder is being kept dry on this.

If all working class people were in a union, and they did what Crow does it wouldn't work. He relies on the fact his number a few and what he wants is paid for by the many.

Agree re the minimum wage though - not that Crow or his members would ever have to worry about that - it was just a shame they dovetailed it with the blind-eye turning to the black economy who fill the poorly paid jobs.
