Does how your season has petered out after the league cup win worry you at all for next season?

Admittedly there is nothing left to play for but I have seen plenty of teams go down the following season after having a terrible end to the season. This is you second season so you have avoided the second season syndrome that seems to affect teams that come up and do well...

Yeah it's been great watching the side play brilliantly over the last few years, Huw is one of the best chairmen in the league, a lot of credit needs to go to him.

I think the players have been on holiday since then, it is a worry though. If we can strengthen again in the summer and keep onto Laudrup and our better players we should be ok.

I like Swans. I like all water-birds, anseriformes especially.

the problem is we tend to think we are better than we actually are and i agree with laudrup that we have punched above our weight.
Im happy we have had a good few seasons and i hope for a few more but something tells me we have reached our limit and going by the second half of the season then i think we are not a good team but a very lucky team.
We may struggle a bit next season as i cant see us doing much the way laudrup likes to play the game, I think rodgers way was more productive and gave us more of a chance of winning, I hope not but listening to many fans at the liberty then they like me are worried that laudrup has actually made us a worst team...his honeymoon period looks to be over.....

Have the team just been giving you and other fans this impression since the league cup victory?

It seems teams often have a dip in form after a league cup victory (more so smaller teams than bigger ones) and it was almost the end of your season, no hopes of doing anything in the league but relegation was no longer a real possibility...

United have suffered a similar malaise since we went out of Europe the league was mostly wrapped up, the FA cup was still alive but you could feel it throughout the fan base, our season died with the CL game and yours seems to have died with the league cup win.

To be fair to Laudrup I don't think we can be too angry with him, he has just given us our first major trophy.

I do agree with the comment about punching above our weight and the style of play has been different, but not sure if Laudrup has made us a worse team, just different. Let's not forget we have sold some our better players.
I think fans are angry about the dip of form since the cup win and rightly so, but we are also a mid table side and mid table sides go through bad patches here and there.
How many fans would have taken a League Cup win and mid table finish at the start of the season?
