Did any of you watch the game? I thought it was a very entertaining game – I’d have preferred Munich to lose as I tend to support the underdog, but they just about deserved it.
When Dortmund did not take advantage of their domination of the first 30 minutes, I thought Munich would come back and win.
However, I thought Munich were lucky to have 11 players on at the end of the game. I know we all want a great final to be 11 vs. 11, but the Brasilien’s boot in the chest made Brentford’s penalty looking like a little niggle. In the first half, the retaliatory elbow in the face would have been a red card in many games.
Despite these issues, I really enjoyed the game. Why can’t the Rovers find goalkeepers that those two today? They were both brilliant.

Hi Micky, yes, I saw the match - very high quality. People thought that Barcelona and Real Madrid would dominate for the next 5 years, but Bayern are undoubtedly the best team on the continent right now - closely followed by Dortmund - and given that a reasonable chunk of the German team will come from these sides, who'd bet against them for the 2014 World Cup?
I agree with you re Ribery - if the referee had seen that forearm into the Dortmund player's face, he would have been sent off - if the ref was lenient then he would have been booked - and then perhaps sent off in the 2nd half for a 2nd bookable offence.
Anyway, great match - great entertainment and as for the keepers - I would imagine that they may just be out of our price bracket!

Did you hear the commentator on Fox Mickey? This fella Gus Johnson is an absolute waste of space, apart from naming player after player he knows nothing of the game. Thank God he had Warren Barton as his co commentator to give some depth to the game. Much better than motormouth Ian Wright.
I am surprised that Ribery stayed on the field and the other lad should have gone for a second bookable for the penalty. Altogether a very good game.

NY - yes, I was watching on FOX. I agree with your comments, but I'll lose access if it is all on NBC cable channels next year!
