Final - England v India

Let's cut to the chase. COMMON England!!

Can England win a global 50 over competition the 5th time of asking? 3 failed world cup final and the CT at home in 2004 still haunt England but they have an ideal opportunity to change this albeit against a inform Indian outfit.

Dhoni on the other hand is going for a unique record of holding all major ICC titles with the CT one left to claim so no doubt the Indians will be focused to create history for Dhoni.

Indians have benefitted with the toss in the last two games and in another rain affected game whoever win's the toss will have a huge advantage. Let's hope we get a 50 over a side game.

JA606 Brummie Amir will be informing us of the weather tomorrow but it does not look great

===========================
My tournament predications:
Winners - Aussies
Top run scorer - Amla
Top wicket taker - Starc
Worst player - Farhat

20 off 16, you could have easily won with singles or 2's and one boundary here or there. Morgan and bopara lost the plot. As simple as that. Was poor shots from many of your players.

You know once india scored 128, there was no excuse to lose.trott, root, bopara and butler played poor shots.

I personally thought india had very less chance of winning, simply because there was not enough on the board. But well done to dhoni and his boys, who kept calm and didnt make silly mistakes.

Where were all the england fans today. didnt look like india were playing in england at all.

no need to argue there. i think both swann and ajmal are equally gd. swann was amazing on the india tour.

The way Dhoni placed his men around the bat in T20 game, in England, with modest runs on board, under overcast conditions, for spinners just unbelievable. He is the best, isn't he.

I would say Ajmal is better than Swann and that makes it a fact

Right from the ball one, Cook put a lot of pressure on himself and on the team. Not a great captain imo. England should try with two spinners for the coming ashes. And also, England should recruit Mathew Hayden to coach English batsmen. That man is a fantastic batsman against spin.

Dhoni mentioned later due to rain the ball started gripping. Hence the turn.

I don't think it spun that much. A lot of the movement was down to a hard ball and poor technique from the batsman.

Cook looked visibly shaky, & it followed through the side...

Tredwell ...not the man you want for a slog six to win mind...
