Stewart Robson

I have been browsing a well known foortabll site which begins with "News..."
Frankly I am amazed at how many feeds they have quoting "Arsenal Legend", "Arsenal Favourite" "Arsenal Old Boy" Stewart Robson (remember him ??? ) preeching how AW will waste transfer kitty / how he does not trust him to spend it / previous transfers have been a disaster etc.etc.etc.
Has there ever been a more bitter and twisted ? Reallly for his own health this "Arsenal legend" should let it go

Wrighty was a winner, and i could never imagine him celebrating 4th spot, like it was an honour.

The only time we won the title with wright in the side was when he was third choice to the likes of Anelka and christopher wreh

i also remember him celebrating finishing 5th once... tottenham were 6th

----

Was gonna say this. I loved Wrighty, but in his day we would have killed for 4th in the league, and the best thing we won back then (the Cup Winners Cup) was when he wasn't even playing in the final :P

Arsenal didn't renew Robsons Arsenal TV contract, that's why he's now on a nobody company such as Talksport.

Guy thinks Wenger wanted him gone most likely.

Robson was never a legend at Arsenal. He did not establish himself as a regular in first team and was shifted out of the club and sold to West Ham at relatively young age.

There are some criticisms of Wenger which I feel are
justified, but one has always to question his motives
when criticising the club.

Ian Wright is an Arsenal great. So please don't try to denigrate his accomplishments or what we think of him as a player.

However both Robson and Wright have axes to grind with Arsene. Arsene assured Wright that we would buy his adopted son when he became available. However when Chelsea came in for him Arsene reneged on his promise. Shawn's career went downhill very fast at Chelsea and to a great extent Wrighty feels correctly that he would have done much better under Arsene. Thats where their relationship broke down.

Stewart Robson was fired by Arsenal. He is not as rich as Wright and now makes a living as 'rent a gob' hating Arsene. He was a nobody at Arsenal. Who even remembers him? Did he even play for us? He is an insignificant little mite who should be ignored. Even talksport know that he lost any credibility long ago.

Because Arsenal said no after Arsene reneged on his promise to buy him.

Chelsea spent £20m on him so we did the right thing not to sign him... if SWP wanted to move to us that much he could have said no to Chelsea

We were not interested irrespective. And rightly so. SWP was never good enough. Arsene may have taken a gamble as a youngster for £8m. But by the time he moved, I think it was 23, in my opinion, it was easy to assess his peak performance level.
