PGA Championship thread

Oak Hill got tougher as day 3 progressed.

Furyk leads at -9.

Duffner, after a wayward tee shot and double-bogey on the 5th hole, kept his composure finishing +1 and in 2nd place at -8.

Stenson was pretty swift in finishing third at -7.

The other Swede Blixt did remarkably well to shoot -4 for the day and finished in fourth place at -6.

Stricker, with $37 million in career earnings, but without major, and recent winner Scott are not far behind at -5.

Rory Mac and Westwood may still have a chance with 6 shots behind the leader at -3.

I can't see beyond these 8 players for the title.

Dufner is the 16th first-time winner in the past 20 majors!

Get in there the Dufmeister

Delighted for him. He's something of a folk hero in the Golf world. He attacked the course, got his just rewards. Furyk tried to protect his lead far too early and it cost him in a sense.

Delighted for me as well for backing him. Cheers Jason!

What a winners speech this will be. Someone wake him up and tell him he's a major champion.

Very worthy winner, indeed. I had a soft spot for him after his loss in Atlanta. Maybe he has one more major in him.

Thanks to all for sticking around for a nice chat.

That is some stat robbie, very surprising.

He played great golf today but even better has to be his missus, well played duffy

Thanks for the thread Robbie.

Bet you're kicking yourself now milk that you never backed the Duf?

He really deserved that. Always nice when a major is won rather than lost.

He surely has to be the only major winner who doesn't have a pulse, what a guy.

Sitting for so long, my wife says we have to go for an 8-mile jog. No choice.

Major, congratulations for backing up Duffy.

Milk, see you on another thread.

Good luck with that.

That's that for another 8 months.

Another year goes begging for Woods. Rory has played himself into some form. Four different major winners, three new ones. Games in a very healthy state.

Nice one robbie and yes absolutely gutted major

I didn't have him as my main bet and only stuck a fiver on him so its another case of what if I'd backed him a bit more.

To be honest though milk even if I didn't have him I'd have still cheered him on, he's just that sort of character.

As you said earlier he used his wedges superbly. Always on the right side of the green. A new course record and the win, not bad at all.

Can't help but think what Furyk must make of his round though.
