Willian a mercenary?

The word that's used to describe Willian on both the Liverpool and Spurs board is "Mercenary".

I can understand calling him a mercenary after he signed for Anzhi, but why do Liverpool fans call him a merc when he opted for Spurs instead of them? Spurs are currently a bigger and more attractive club to join than Liverpool.

At this point i did not find one comment on the spurs board describing Willian as a mercenary, we can conclude then that Spurs fans did not consider Willian a mercenary for moving to Anzi, however as soon as it transpired that Chelsea were favorites to sign him, Spurs fans labelled him as a "overrated Mercenary"

Just as Spurs are considered a bigger club than Liverpool currently, Chelsea are considered a bigger club than Tottenham, and it's not just me badmouthing Spurs, they have done fantastic business this window and their main striker Soldado, is better than anything we have right now.

Chelsea are deemed a bigger club than Spurs at this moment in time due to CL football,Title challengers,Squad full of players who have won loads of trophies, fanbase and of course wages, Spurs cannot beat Chelsea in those catergories therefore Willian decided to join Chelsea.

p.s Chelsea have been actively interested in Willian since 2011.

p.p.s Willian will not be on the bench, what will happen is we will have Willian left wing and Hazard AM, with Oscar dropping into CM.

Fernandinho really was the outstanding performer home and away MOTM...
However Willian was good as well(particularly away) has excellent upper body strength(which he uses to great effect, deceptively strong) and will quite easily jink past players when he cuts in.
Amount of times he just ghosted past Ramires, made it look easy.
Movement off the ball super, excellent at finding/creating space by making darting runs inbetween/beyond/behind the defence.
High work rate/ethic top notch.

Similar to Schurrle in many ways...

Not needed but since the club are close to sign him, suppose he's a good option to have.
If It were down to me, would just let him sign for Spurs.

Already have an adequate amount of terrific options in the attacking positions, midfield needs to be addressed.

The Merc bit is more of a tag that is associated with his chances of getting in your first team mixed with his Agents reputation Kia
