Hi guys,
Noticed it is awfully quiet on these boards so thought I would start a thread about the one and only beautiful woman known to us fans as Paige. We all expect her to debut pretty soon to probably feud with AJ which would be wonderful.
I noticed on a lot of dirt sheets it said that the idea was to have her debut as a Paul Heyman girl but the idea fell through because WWE want her to debut as a face. The plan it seems is for her to debut after the AJ program with the total divas is over.
Thoughts on how you would debut her? I reckon it will be after Survivor Series or at the actual PPV and do it in a similar fashion to how Victoria debuted at TNA which AJ filling the role of Angelina Love and Paige being Victoria/Tara.

Never seen her wrestle, but just going off her look i'd say debuting as a face is smart thinking. She's got that touch of innonance in her face which will endear her to a male audience who've grown tired of the generic barbie doll assembly line era. A feud between her and AJ would make sense, it'll symbolise a change in their aesthetics for the divas division - which would be a big freakin deal.
Looking through a few pics on google, if she's a good character actor she'll have no problem pulling off a great heel. She kinda reminds me of Mandy from 24, venus fly trap heel potential in spades

In this era, we have the dolly bird (which kinda does reflect girls of today...Hilton Stodden et al) which is fair but the E have overdone it, we need these archetypes to make the female division valid and subjectively viable.
This is a good start but until Karma comes back the ladies division cannot be complete IMO.

I've gotta slightly differ with those points Mike. I do agree that the women's division has been crying out for abit of diversity, but i don't even think this barbie doll generator is even culturally vaild - at least not in the frequency WWE have portrayed it.
In my opinion, the WWE have basically turned the women's division into a disposable 'barclays bank' tissue (at least they think they have). If WWE truly knew their audience they'd realise the AJ's of the world have always been more appealing. Wrestling stereotypically strikes at the inner nerd, i've yet to come across a non-geeky wrestling fan, and typically as a group we marvel at the barbie doll from a distance but fixate on the girl next door. The latter will always make us care for them (whether we wanna plow them or not), the former will never be taken serious. And alas, guess what's happened, we stopped taking the women's division seriously
Now about Karma - personally, i think she's overkill. There's only three ways i could imagine her being in a sustainable feud without rendering the women's division irrelevant due to her natural advantages...... 1) You build up a particuplar diva over a long stretch of time as being ring savvy (NEVER gunna happen)...... 2) You have the protective b/f standing in her line of fire....... or the undisputed worst opinion and most likely the one WWE would pursue in-keeping with their love affair of factions, 3) you have the rest of the divas band against her, effectively dedicating an entire division to just one woman.

I agree with that last bit, however I think overkill is what is needed to usher in a new era, when the old one has been dismal.
Aj is the more attainable GND type which makes our mindset harbour a protective mindset, especially when she is at odds with the dolly bird mean girl types. However imagine one day, that GND (girl next door), comes home covered in not scratches but cuts and bruises.
As males our mental equilibrium would be all over the place. Think back to how Chyna rag dolled golddust`s chick back in the day, remember how u felt?
When the GND archetype is picked on by the mean girls, we accept it almost to the point liking it as it gives us security in that her shunning from the unattainable group means she is more attainable for us mere mortals. However when she is singled out by the scary chick, we panic and become conflicted. We wanna chin her but we don't because she is a woman. Its this kind of metal challenge that makes eras IMO.
Implementation?...just like real life, Aj becomes our GND champion. karma comes back and does a systematic job on her, I'm talking squash after squash after squash, then at some point one of the male roster comes in and attacks Karma during a said squash and thus creating the possibility for another Chyna Eddie feud..or for me a roster feud where the said guy is shunned by half the roster but applauded by the other.
This would be our natural mental state (as mentioned earlier) played out in front of us. For me the possibilities of having such a storyline around 2 women are astronomical.
Longevity...u could get a Wrestlemania run going IMO, a stretch but possible if started at Survivor series.
