There is no better candidate in my opinion. We are talking about a man who carried Ronaldo at Real Madrid. Ronaldo now looks lost waiting for a pass that never comes. Without Özil he would have been ineffective.
After that Özil came to England and has singe-handedly taken the 4th best team in the league to the top of the league.
If he doesn't win it this year then FIFA will always be known as a joke
