Morning Gentlemen
The only television series i've stuck to in recent years has been Walking Dead.
However, I was constantly told to watch Game of Thrones and Breaking Bad. I'd not watched them from the beginning and once i'm behind on a show I tend not to bother but these two in particular keep coming up in conversation and on social media.
So I thought i'd trial both.
First - Breaking Bad. Watched about 6 episodes
I enjoyed each episode. It was interesting enough but I never had the urge to watch another episode when the previous one had finished. It's fair to say that given the hype, I was slightly underwhelmed. Now 6 episodes isn't enough time to truly pass judgment but for a show that people had been labelling the best of the decade - it should have.
Secondly - Game of Thrones
Watched Episode I and enjoyed it. The next night I watched Episode 2 and really enjoyed that. It was at that point when I was already thinking about the next episode. What was going to happen to certain characters? What tales of deceit/corruption were going to surface? Put simply, I cared for the characters.
At the weekend, I got through about 5 episodes on the spin and finished season 1. In a word - Outstanding
Now each to their own but Game of Thrones was the show that had me wanting to go back for more.
Perhaps someone who has watched all the Breaking Bad episodes could shed a different light.
Regards

About half way through the 3rd, not really had much chance to read them over the last few months, then I pretty much dropped everything to read SAF's book over the weekend. Need to catch up coz a friend of mine has just finished them and is threatening to spoil it

Breaking Bad started well, dragged over seasons 2 and 3 then picked up at the end.
Game of Thrones is good tv but for someone who has read all the books multiple times it loses the suprise factor. Good news for you guys is that they keep coming.
Lastly, started watching The Blacklist last week, 5 episodes in and it's pretty awesome so far, I recommend people go and watch the trailer at least.

Have to agree with LordDowlias Banshee is unbelievable, realy good tv. The fight scene in episode 3 I think against the mma fighter is one of the best fight scenes I've ever seen on tv. Some other good ones that will get you hooked are Sons of Anarchy, Fringe, Spartacus.
