patience

I see so many users on ja606 spurs thread saying they would rather a trophy than T4 yet a lot of you start complaining at a bad result, the performance wasn't to bad! If the attempts that fell today fell on another day we would have won 3 or 4 goals to the good.

it wasn't free flowing like we have come to expect over the years but where has that got us? A few top 4 finishes and a carling cup. We finally have solved the infamous spurs leaky back line but so many are so quick to forget that for years it was woeful.

the goals will come, trophies will too, the squad is a good one and we need to back our players. Another thread was tearing into dembele, consistently a great performer but has one bad game and expects the guillotine to drop.

3 points off 2nd place, not in our full stride yet, for me it all looks so promising.

It's no coincidence that our attacking play has looked poor all season. Can't always be the players not performing, it's the system not allowing them to play well yet AVB is too stupid/stubborn to see this

Is AVB our weakest link?

The squad we have surely can be used in a more positive and productive way. We have players with pace but he persists with the inverted wing formation which negates this advantage and isolates our lone striker as the opposition are always given time to regroup and deal with our attacks.

This more than anything is his biggest mistake. He has made us more solid but the price of that is to make us too blunt in attack.

There's no excuse for spending £70m on the attacking players we've bought and looking do shocking going forward. The goalscoring stat and lack of clear cut chances created is appalling, and this blame lies solely with AVB.

Park lane....
In short YES Avb is def currently our weakest link.
missing good chances is not his fault BUT our playing style is.
Ive been following spurs properly since 89/90 and i have seen much worse players and spurs sides play alot better than this.
Cant believe im writing this but i wouldnt be upset at all with darth levy if he decided avb wasnt the man to take this talented squad forward.

Storm clouds are definitely gathering on AVB. The longer he persists with these tactics and formations especially in home games and the bad results accumulate then the more likely his position will be endangered. I want him to succeed but if he does not wake up and change his outlook then it will be thanks but goodbye.

System is ok if you have the players for it. Either we don't or he's picking the wrong ones. Real Madrid, Bayern play similar formations but they have quality players with pace in the wide positions I.e bale/ronaldo or robben/ribery. Closest we have are Townsend and Lennon. So probably not enough, but at least don't play sig as one of the attacking 3.

An Arsenal victory would be the the final straw to this miserable Sunday we are having. Probably odds on now.
