My take on yesterday

Can't really complain about the result. Both teams were dull - Moyes got his tactics right (similar to how Fergie used to set up against us) and we were just not at the races for one reason or another. United didn't have too much aside from the goal - the Rooney chance was little more than a half-chance imo, probably the second best in the game still, and I don't think it was a penalty, although you do see them given. Obviously we created very little as well, with our two best chances coming from excellent balls from Sagna.

Clearly, we missed Theo, Rosicky and Podolski. We needed a different option, and our pressing was not a patch on what it has been in recent times (where we needed Tomas). Hopefully, we can get them back quickly ahead of a crucial two months. Mert's absence was felt with the organisation not quite as good from set-pieces, but otherwise Vermscielny did pretty solidly.

Finally, we can still have optimism. Closest game at OT for a while (which is depressing) and if it had gone the other way, United's complaints would have been comparable with ours. We all would have taken this position at the start of the season, or even a few weeks back, so I'm still happy. Also, I hope the dreary United fans can now shut up. The turgid wumming isn't any better, but I much prefer some decent banter which can only happen when both sides are doing well or badly. IMO, a United/Arsenal title race is still the best, so here's hoping for one this season (sorry Chelsea ).
