The future is bright for England

The media have an agenda where they like to focus on how there is a real lack of talent coming through the ranks after the 'golden generation' but anyone who watches the younger players will know just how special some of the players coming through are.

I watched England under 21's beat San Marino 9-0 last night. I know people will say it was only San Marino but at under 21 level no-one has ever beaten them by that much and it's also a level where the likes of Germany scraped by Faroe Islands 3-2 a few weeks back. This was a team hungry for goals and could easily have scored 20 goals but for last ditch defending. They had 34 shots on goal

The likes of.....

Jamie Ward-Prowse
Will Hughes
Ravel Morrison
Luke Shaw
Danny Ings
Wilfried Zaha
Will Keane
Michael Keane
Steven Caulker
Jack Wilshere
Ross Barkley
Raheem Sterling
Jesse Lingard
Nick Powell
Saido Berahino
Chabaloah
Patrick Bamford
Harry Kane
Jack Butland
Nathon Redmond
Nathaniel Clyne
Carl Jenkinson

... are all extremely promising players and there are 6 or 7 there who i'd be astonished if they didn't go on and become world class players playing for the very best teams.

Okay, right now the senior national side have a few oldies playing but i'm certain that Lampard, Gerrard and Cole will all retire after the world cup and the real excitement can begin.

Don't fall for the media agenda where they make out that there are 10 year old kids sweeping chimneys for 1880's style football coaches who pistol whip those kids for trying a back heel. It's really not as bad as that and this crop of youngsters are extremely promising. Before anyone mentions the recent under 21 tournament, the vast majority of players on the list above were absent and had they played you would have seen a vastly superior performance.

It might actually get the the stage where England fans can enjoy supporting their team rather than slating them for being something as 'crap' as being a solid top 10 side.

Wilson looks a real talent. I hope he makes it at United, I love a striker that can dribble with the ball.

darren

Have a look at the video link I posted and check out the difference between all but one of his open play goals and the 2 penalties

(Seeing as Robb couldn;t be bothered)

In the build up to Euro 96 the players were all across the papers for the dentist chair incident. Just a few weeks back before a massive game in Ukraine the newspapers did a hatchet job on Townsend with 'baloon-gate' even though the story had been waiting in their baskets for months.

Correct

They nailed Andy Carroll after his debut with something they had had for a while and one of the JT stories they saved I had heared about months earlier from a lawyer mate of mine

The papers are the lowest of the low. Tis why I refused to believe the Roo to Chelsea stories.

The newspapers sell a product, if people didn't buy them they'd go out of business- therefore either people agree with them or are too lazy to form their own opinion.

Macca, yeah I've seen them.

I hope he has a similar rapid rise to the first team like Januzaj. Looks a very exciting player - and lord knows we need some of those in the team.

Macca you rascal, 1) i did respond to you about Wilson, look up the thread and 2) i'm at work so can't watch videos!

Ok I'll tell you both

Al his open play goals bar one were with his right foot. His 2 penalties he took with his left

I was right - the England youth system was working well and ended up winning world cups over different age groups 😎
