Players Out of Contract

There are a number of Wolves players whose contracts I believe run out next summer. And any player that applies to is free to sign a pre-contract agreement with another club in January and that would see them leave the club for free at the end of June. So time is running short to secure the future of these players with the club and we need to ideally get them signed up in December, decide to cash in by selling them in January, or let the contracts run out so they leave for free next summer.

I stand to be corrected but I believe the players concerned are Danny Batth, Carl Ikeme, Richard Stearman, Kevin Doyle, George Elokobi, Dave Edwards, Kevin Doyle, Jack Price, Ethan Ebanks Landell, Jake Cassidy.

I certainly think we need to secure Batth, Stearman, Ikeme, Price and Ebanks Landell.

I would be surprised if Doyle extended his contract and I see him moving on next summer.

Not bothered about keeping Edwards and Elokobi. Cassidy I would wait and see how he gets on over the coming months

I said the other day, Doyle signed for four years in 2011, 35k a week he wont be going anywhere.

I hope Edwards doesn't get a new contract, Mcdonald and a.n.other for me.

Yep - no idea where this £20k per week nonsense comes from.

My views are similar but instead of a.n.other I would have n.e.other

I was shot down for claiming these alleged pay cuts were carp regarding some players when the Convo first came up.
Sadly it has just been amplified by a double relegation.

I, for one, would certainly welcome Doyler seeing out his contract with us until June 2015. The six goals he will score between now and then will be most welcome as well.

And people moan about MP's getting an 11% pay rise on a yearly wage that doesn't touch - for example - Doyler's monthly wage.

But that's hypocrisy for you
