Berahino

Hello Hope you had a thoroughly booze ridden Christmas, filled with awkward small talk with the relatives and in laws.

Watching the surprisingly entertaining West Ham - West Brom match, I've been impressed against by Saido Berahino. I know he's unproven and a gamble, but if we're looking for a player in January who would be relatively cheap, make an impact immediately and who not impair potentially signing a top player in the summer this guy ticks all the boxes.

Sure, he's not a stellar name, but let's face it, we won't get one of them in January. Even some of the "more realistic" names like Rossi or Costa won't come in January with the World Cup on the horizon, so it's the question of whether we go for a loan, an experienced stop gap, a gamble or (most likely) stick with what we have.

Anyway, I like him. Different to Giroud, pacy and direct with a real hunger for goals and decent technique. Room to get better, gives us something different and wouldn't stop us signing a bigger name when more of them will be available. What say you fine gentlemen?

He's a good young player. But not quite ready for a step up at big club yet! Was MOTM vs Arsenal too.

We would be better off playing Theo up front rather than spend on Berahino.

He looks a class player, but not what we need at this moment.

Soldado is a different player to Costa. We're more attractive because we're a bigger club, can pay better wages, and offer better players to play with. Madrid are as good as they've been in a long time, but that team won't stay together for too long. The likes of Arda Turan, Diego Costa, Koke and so forth can be expected to move on fairly quickly.

Cost WILL leave but just not until summer.

That's the way I see it, too.

If it's money motivating him, he'd be better off waiting until the summer when more clubs will be spending big. Atletico have a real chance at the title this season and a shot of a decent CL run. He does also like it there, it's the first time he's been their star forward after having Aguero, Forlan and Falcao in recent years. I reckon he'll go at the end of the season but not just yet.

Don't want Costa. Not since I saw the video of the spitting. Nasty man.
