New player investment

Just read the following on newsnow and the article states we have one of the strongest squads going into this new year. It also tells of how many young loanees we now have at club with Chelsea's Bamford joining Liverpool's Wisdom and Man u's Keane.

Do you think that the aquasition of young loanees is the way forward or would you rather see experienced players on permanent contracts come in and if so who?
Do we really have one of the strongest squads?

Yeah Vidal, my thoughts exactly, and as for one of the strongest squads in league, we'll find out more about that tomorrow

I don't like it for 2 reasons...

Firstly, it allows the big clubs to get bigger and hoard players. I could rant about everything thats wrong in the game but whats the point!

Secondly, because if a club gets promoted as a result of numerous loans rather than building on a successful squad you get the heart ripped out of your team and begin the following season struggling to recreate what bought you success in the first place.

It is great to see us attracting good, young players and playing some superb football at times but I worry that if we do get promoted the core of *our* team won't be strong enough to stand a chance of surviving.

The transition form Championship to Premier League is never easy. Often the players who slogged it out to get you there are of no use to you in the high speed game. Perhaps loans are the answer, as long as when they walk away, the club can put in place the right kind of players to keep you up.
