England v Exiles

Will this game make England a better team in the 4 Nations ?
I think it should be a 3 match series like the State of Origin, the Aussies have that and a hitout against New Zealand.....but on the other hand New Zealand play one game during the season and they are still better than us....

The match should certainly be more competitive than playing France, will it make England better ??
I hope so we need more determination to win at a higher level and this game may be the spark to get us going.
Should be a great game , looking forward to it,

Should be a 3 game series but they need this 1 off game to be well recieved first before they can expand. If its well recieved and profitable then I'm sure we'll see a 3 game series.

Michael Mcllorum the Wigan hooker has been called up for Fridays match to replace James Roby of Saints. Roby is out with a fractured eye socket sustained against Leeds last Friday.

Just had a look at the sltv talking to the exiles players, they really look up for this game it has all the makings of a cracker, much better than the `we will walk all over France`game that we are used to.
I agree with Barra and Rino this should become a series and if Fridays game lives up to its potencial the rfl would be mad not to.

a series still poses the problems with the Super League clubs releasing the players for the tests, although there was no problems when the Aussies and New Zealand teams used to tour pre Super League....but these days the clubs seem to rule the roost and the RFL cave in....

^ just like with wendyball clubs & putting self-interest before the national interest first. Although I suppose if you're battling for a top 8 place, the last thing you want is injuries to key players in internationals.

Nevertheless, this should be a great game: hope its successful both off and on the pitch

for to long now we have been not good enough against the Aussies maybe this is a step in the right direction and if the clubs cant see a successful England side might put more bums on seats they want shooting

'how do you start a discussion'

'What you looking at?' seems to work well in the pubs around Craven park.

The whine about injuries is bogus. I've seen players get season-ending injuries just doing their warmup. Players are just as likely to get injured playing Wakey or Crus - should they withhold their top players from the Wakey game?
