Derby County 0 - 0 Bolton Wanderers

Seems to have gone a bit flat.

Mood has gone introspective.

I think there was genuine bewilderment regarding Saturday's game against Millwall and it was a chastening experience.

However, while those on the Dark Side of the 52 embrace paranoia of the most extraordinary level, we can look at fondly at our hierarchy and know they will resolve the doldrums we are in.................won't they?????

Martin looks set to play against a resurgent Bolton side who tw **ted Leeds on Saturday 1 - 5 - confidence will be high - I await Romance in Durango's take on this.....

Hughes looked lost against Millwall, will he play a more effective role? will the midfield trio of Hughes, Bryson and Hendrick play togther? Eustace or Thorn? Ward and/or Russell?

And would you have taken this position in the league back in August?????

Loads of questions - no answers yet......plenty to ponder...

Team news to follow.

xx

Dougie Freeman on Derby: "It was one of the better attacking displays I have seen all season"

---------

Being logical, the 7 Reading put past them, the 5 Leicester put past them or even the 3 that Wigan and Brighton put past them is a better display than the 0 you lot put past them.

You seem to be discounting the fact Bolton have just won three games on the trot, they have momentum (a little like Wigan )and scored 11 goals and conceded one during that run!

And not discounting the fact you haven't scored in three matches

We need an early goal to open the game up a bit against these anti-football teams.

Hi there. To be honest we were just as mad about Dougie's setup last night as you seem to be. Having won the last 3 games with attacking football that got us 11 goals including five at Elland Road we felt there was no need to change anything. Sadly he reverted to type and frankly I feel we were lucky to get the point as a result. Finishing the match with ZERO forwards on the field was inexcusable to many trotters and simply reinforced the belief many of us have that Dougie is already a failure.

luckyPeterpiper: I wouldn't blame Dougie for playing that way - it's what teams are doing against us now and we're struggling to break them down lately. The longer you keep it 0-0 the more chance you have of nicking it late on!!
