Murphy is awful, Rochdale, Yeovil midfield made mince meet of him. Ariyibi is 6 years younger and could be a good player by the time he reaches Murphy's age. Ross will go Imo and id sell him anyway, i think he'll struggle next season and he's worth something now. Id look to bring in a couple of younger strikers.

Paddy Kenny (if he's happy to play 2nd choice, otherwise Ashdown)
Alex Cairns (loan out)

Jason Pearce
Aidan White
Stephen Warnock
Scott Wootton
Sam Byram

Luke Murphy
Alex Mowatt
Rodolph Austin
Michael Tonge
Gboly Ariyibi (maybe)

Ross McCormack
Matt Smith
Dominic Poleon

So we need...
1 keeper
1 CB
full-back cover
1 centre mid
2 wingers
1 striker in Wickham's mould
+ if we're really dreaming, a quality no.10 to get things going

Murphy hasn't lived up to what we expected (even though 1m is absolutely nothing in football terms) but he has shown in certain games that he can play, and since our meltdown recently he has been one of the better players.

Ross may be sold, but i'm not quite sure why you presume he will struggle next season. Based on what?

It's quite shocking to see how many s h it players are signed up till 2015. But then again, all of these players initially impressed enough to lull the management into longer contracts. But with certain types of players, once the proverbial feet are under the table, they sit back – hell's bells, a year ago who'd of thought we'd be saying that about Austin, but he rarely comes out of his shell these days. And I'd put most of these players in that bracket. I'd get rid of the lot of them, they're an expensive liability.

Shocking to think the length of contract Norris got. Has he made the bench in the year? When you think how dire our midfield has been, how bad must he be in training?

I thought that milkyboy - but I read at lunchtime that he's had a long term injury, hence no appearances this season.

I've often wondered why he wasn't being given an opportunity .................

... Likewise, don't remember reading about him being crocked, so just (wrongly) assumed he was deemed past his sell by.
